MY VISION

Many people cite the demands of work – both paid and unpaid – as a reason for not prioritising their health.

Yet the health of our work or business is ultimately a reflection of our own health.  Unhealthy lifestyles and unhealthy work habits are both unsustainable.

Taking charge of our health translates into better performance at work, better relationships with others and greater fulfilment in life.  It isn’t only that we’re in better shape, it’s the process of taking responsibility that raises our energy and our self-confidence.  Seeing that what we do makes a difference is tremendously motivating.

Above all, health is not a personal issue:

  • living in a healthy way is the best legacy we can leave our children and
  • the health of each person is integral to the health and healing of our society and of our planet.

I believe the answer to achieving sustainable living is the health and happiness of each individual.  If we’re rundown, stressed, unhappy or unhealthy, our capacity to care for ourselves diminishes – and with it, our capacity to care for others and the world around us.  Our energy plummets, our creativity shrinks, our relationships suffer.  We feel contracted and unable to contribute.

However when we’re full of energy and vitality, we can make a profoundly positive difference to everyone we meet, every day of our lives.  When we’re healthy and happy, we have the motivation, the interest and the energy to extend beyond our own needs to the needs of others.  We care about others and we care about our environment.

Therefore, my vision is that one by one, as we get healthier and happier, we’ll see a positive shift in the health of the planet as well.
